Found a giant gear room with a lot of currently inaccessible rooms.
Lit the candles in the candle room and it made a staircase. Foreman’s log from Scripts & Rudford - 20. Date 7.25.1915: Tomas Sinclair designed the ornate list down the mine. Today we begin digging into the mountain. Access into precipice and therefore into the tomb and the reservoir.
Antechamber
Day 3: not accessible Day 4: we found a lever, but we didn’t reach the antechamber to try if it works
Day 9: opened East side of antechamber. Note: To go up you must go down. Found basement key that unlocks the basement door.
North door of antechamber has a crescent moon on it. Same as necklace that lady on photo in bedroom (Lady Epsen?) was wearing.
Armory
can buy morning star (like sledgehammer), knight (removes red effects of one room for the day) or axe (permanently removes the gem costs of a room).

Server room We need to plug in 2 more microchips
Blackbridge network administrative controls. Admin key: RevaD ⇒ has been deactivated!! Must be another key. BabbA works. Others that should work: MoorR, ThomK, RibbJ Expired: RuotH, RevaD, + 3 additional delisted admin keys: WithP, RibbJ Another added (07-25-87) as written in log: not DarrK, not BonM, not MargleB, not MargB ⇒ We don’t know what it is, but it was likely the dummy admin for clue seekers
Tried DarrK: no admin found.
Log in as ThomK for full admin privileges. Set all email to on. Blackbridge = network name. ⇒ ominous name, legend from which the term derives, fate that befell people in the story
Logs from MoorR: 01-20-86: Setting up networks 03-02-87: WithP and RibbJ have been added as admins. 03-03-87: Jean and I are successfully logged on now. 03-04: 03-06: RibbJ: we need file transfers ASAP 03-06: MoorR: I should be done by the time you and Phillip (White. Marion’s publisher) are moved out of the shelter. 03-07: RibbJ: If by Phillip you mean Paul then yes, this would work. 03-07: MoorR: His admin key tripped me up. Will wipe the logs anyway. 03-07: WithP: no prob 03-09: MoorR: Data packet transfer from Fierstrom, Eraja. Total file size 14 kb. 03-14: WithP: We finished moving, made ourselves at home. Two additional crates are expected to arrive in the next 3 days. 07-10: RibbJ: Randolph, instead of deleting the logs rather leave manufactured messages. I’d like to lure clue-seekers down a path. 07-11: MoorR: We can create dummy admin account with pseudo privileges. 07-12: RibbJ: I better get to writing. Visitor last week has given me inspiration for a new book.
Next entry: 07-25-87 As requested yesterday, new Admin key created, but name doesn’t fit with typical name formatting. ⇒ This must be the dummy admin they created to fool clue-seekers.
08-27-87: WithP: Moore, scrub the logs. The four of us are ready to go dark. 08-28-87: RibbJ: Randolph, I left the final manuscript in the safe house. Please look after the other children. Should our paths not cross again we will embrace each other in soot and ash. 08-28: MoorR: Don’t look back, we’re with you. May the black shores guide you both. 08-28: RibbJ and WithP delisted.
09-01-87: all electronic mail restricted to only office 01-20-89: Routine maintenance 01-04-90: Routine maintenance 07-03-91: Updated access privileges for the following account types: admin access, personnel access, archive access 11-25-92: RTA is down, terminal connection failures 11-28-92: RTA working again, added ability to access remote terminals 01-29-93: RuotH (valet) got admin access 02-20-93: RuotH (valet) admin access deactivated 06-22-93: ThomK joined the team
Log in with RibbJ (Jean Ribbon = Marion): Made a lot of formerly deleted emails readable. Lots from Marion (as RibbJ) and Caleb (as WithP) about fleeing.

Drafting studio
There’s a small room model with a small safe. With a magnifying glass you can put in a safe code. it’s not 1107 or 0711, or 1122. Right code: 1108 Red letter nr. 5, from Marion. Uncle, In a few hours we are departing. As planned, we will be taking the old mountainway tunnels to the North. We’ll go as far as we can by trolley until the rails give out. Then we’ll proceed on foot until we reach the Southern border. I’ve never been as excited, nervous and heartbroken. I may never know if I’ve made the right decisions, but I’ve made the ones I felt my father might have nodded in approval at. I’m leaving a message for Simon here in the safe house. This unhallowed cavern that we’ve called home for the last year. If something should happen to me, please guide him to this place. Try to show him what these lost days were all for. Explain to him if you can the intersection between foolishness and doctrine. The thin wire we stood upon above the world and throwing stones. Holding hands and throwing stones. In those days we were guilty of everything. As always, Mary. ⇒ Mary’s father is dead at this point ⇒ Seems like Herbie (Simon’s brother) is also not in the picture? He doesn’t actually exist. Herbie (in the bunk room) is Herbert senior (HSS)!!

Freezer
Freezer labelled “Mr Sinclair’s personal freezer”. Not for staff use. Inside is a frozen letter. There’s other stuff in the freezer as well (keys, gems). We need to cut the power to thaw things! OR the temperature actually increases if we’re in the room and the furnace is on!!! BUT: the letter in the separate freezer box is not thawing, even though it has 17C in the room after a while. Do we need 2 furnaces??
Code (Braille) on servers - puzzle??. 2 identical.

In car, note: The drop-off address is 14227 Sandy Heights. A small garage on the south edge of Trinsdale. The goods are already secure and in the trunk, so just unload and get back here before noon. I’ve seen Sinclair’s schedule and I don’t think he’ll be requesting the car today but you never know when the cat will want to get some air. Tomorrow will likely be the last delivery and I believe Denny already has payment ready. ⇒ someone else in the house must have written that note.
Goods in trunk = 2 bottles (alcohol?)
Gemstone cavern
4th gas line that turns on the flames in the garden Letter: excavation limited to 2 gems per year, Dave made decision to scrap old minecards. Sad story about a bird who gives up swimming. Same bird as in the store room picture.
The History of Orindia, First edition and Second Edition. By Caleb Manning. 1979. Ajera to Eraja Feb 9 ´81: HSS Jan 6 ´84: Mary Jones Mar 2 ´87: Det. Bon Margle Sep 3 ´87: Det. Bon Margle Nov 17 ´93: Simon P. Jones
This book was reviewed and cleared for publication by The Fenn Aries Central Board of Eduction. Cleaned to conform. FOREWORD: Orindia = Eastern waters. We must preserve the embers of our past. I AJERA: Ajera = the first era. Oris the first king (real name redacted) of Orindia. Black flags were fluttering in Orindia. II SECOND ERA: fourth king (name redacted) of Orindia. The eldest child got the middle province and heartspring of the kingdom. He called it Orinda Aries, after the angelic paragon of royalty, Orinda. The middle child, the only daughter, got the southern region of Eraja, the mystical realm of the ancestors, a land steeped in tradiiton, magic and the poetry of the old tongue. III THIRD ERA: map of the three parts of the realm. Middle symbol redacted = eldest son. The middle symbol is the doorbell. The third era was defined by the construction of a vast network of railways that spanned the length and breadth of the land, linking the northern mountains of Arch Aries to the southern shores of Eraja. This facilitated travel and commerce between the three realms, further strengthening their bond and laying the foundation for the promise of a prosperous and bright future, a promise that would unfortunately, as my readers will soon find, not be kept. IV FOURTH ERA: King Desilets III king of Orinda Aries, he listened to the voices of all his subjects. He was often seen drinking and conversing among his people. Desilets was known as the king of the people. He moved his castle from the secluded mountains of Reddington to the public stage of Oris. There were some people who didn’t like this, mostly the nobles of Fenn. V ERA OF RUIN: King Desilets III died. Growing unrest among the western city of Fenn. The next day, 6th October, Prince Leerson of Fenn declared himself monarch = Desilets IV. Civil war between Prince Leerson of Fenn and Desilets IV. 22 years war. Fennsurrection Arch Aries and Nuance joined forces with the general of the Northern regiment. Black flags exchanged to red banners to honour the fallen of Fenn. Remaining royal family fled to south forever exiled. (Eraja?) VI THE CURRENT ERA: Today: Fenn Aries, Arch Aries, Eraja. United as allies. The distance between our peoples has grown. Hope for a common future, a future where we are not defined by the colours of the banners we raise, but by that which connects us. The land that connects us is still Orindia.
Letter from Dectective Bon Margle from Red Guard: to HSS. HSS has library of rare and restricted books. But he gave detective an already censored book, but detective thinks he also has an uncensored version.

Botanical garden: most popular, mausoleum, best in spring time (busiest season), East of town, concludes at Mainway station. Holly Ibex x meserveae = holly specific to Reddington’s mountains. Featherfall Keep: at base of mount Perma, 2nd highest summit in Reddington, significant to realm’s past, former home of Lord William Epsen, until recently private family home of Epsen family since before the 3rd era. After death of Lord Epsen, his oldest son Lionel left the estate never to return. However the daughter (Clara?) stayed until she married in 1951. After that it became a museum and national historic landmark. Might have been built by the first king of Orinda Aries, but some recent documents cast doubts on this myth. Trinsdale lake: (= picture in entrance hallway) Rolling fog, gliding swans. Hundred bells tearoom, open Mondays and Fridays. Southern edge is for tourists, Northern and rest for rich people. Mount Holly: 11220 ft, tallest mountain in the realm. A few hours from Reddington. Opposite side of the peak between northern slope and saddle sits estate Mt. Holly. 80 acre mountain residence, completely private since closing of Mt. Holly schoolhouse in 1966. Mainway station bazar: Underground, once Reddington’s train station when trains were still in service. Sheet music “3”: The ones of you who oft assume That you alone can solve this tune Are likely going to get your due And all the rage that will ensue While working on this simple clue.

Book/brochure: “Realm & … - Sigils of the past & present” by prof. R. Willard, 1905 Foreman’s copy, Sigils, specifically Realm Sigils, are crude circular marks of designation found on royal artifacts, buildings and older documents. Each sigil is made up of 4 elements: the core, the diving lines (rays), the motes, the border. Core = different for each realm: pentagon, hourglass or arrow shapes - Pentagon = Fenn Aries - “Doorbell”ish = Orindia Aries (middle region) - Hourglass = Eraja (southern region) - Arrow = Corarica - Mountain = Arch Aries (nothern region) Rays Number of rays indicates the method of transportation prevalent in a realm. 8 = ship routes 4 crossroad = roads, carriages 4 downward = horseback, rough trails 3 = trains, locomotion 5 = aviation 2 = camels, mules 5 short rays = turtleback travel Weather Straight line = normal Horizontal slashes = foggy Wavy lines = extreme heat Rainy realm = three vertical lines Lightning shaped line = stormy weather Ray dotted with falling circles = snow, colder realms Bent curved lines = windy Motes: explains type of society a given realm proclaimed, e.g. industrial, academic, tribal, etc. (some are in the picture on Duncan’s phone) Border: 8 different ones, each corresponding to a colour that also corresponds to the banner and national colours of the realm. black, red, violet, pink, green, yellow, orange, white Scribbled on last page: Red (crossed out) Banners, Martial, Fog
Fenn Aries = the grand realm, road/carriage transportation, foggy, militaristic society, red
EG in the staircase torch room in the abandoned mine. Core - doorbell = Orindia Rays - unclear, three perpendicular lines, top two together then gap then one below. Top one shortest. Others same length. Is it fog??? It seems to suggest it might be in the outside Motes - Metropolitan Border - Black?

Red letter number 1: May 8th, Dear Baron Sinclair. My name is Worth Laude. My father used to work for your father 1915-1918. Worth Laude’s father died recently left behind 7 children, his widow, 30-odd grand children. He never spoke of the baron and never betrayed the confidence of the baron. The father was a miner, his colleagues were not as discreet. Laude shares some of the tales from the miners, because he thinks they might be true. Characters
- HSS - Baron Herbert S. Sinclair, former owner of the manor, our granduncle. Architect, designed the new Reddington elementary school and also hosted the kids for a while. Father was also architect. Died on 5 Nov (or 4 Nov?) morning at the age of 73 from a heart condition.
- Bridgette
- Tomas Sinclair: HSS’s predecessor (father), lived around 1915 and hired a mining company to found out more about the cave/mine system in the mountain.
- Simon H. Sinclair: HSS’s younger brother. Was married to Lady Epsen until he died (some time before November 1979).
- M. Lowry, wrote a letter in the parlor about the box game on 2nd May.
- Lady Clara Epsen - our grandmother
- Died (around 15 June 1983). West wing closed (for a while?) out of respect for her.
- Went to Reddington elementary school
- Mrs. Babbage, houses manager
- Wrote a letter to Christoph that he missed a drive 3 times
- Denny Revane - former staff, no longer employed. Former gardener/groundskeeper. He also helped install the servers and he suggested the location of Grotto off the East Drive. Admin key: RevaD. Blackmailed the baron. He also stole the baron’s mail.
- Herbie - =HSS, Simon’s brother
- Simon P Jones - us
- Daniel - dad. Wrote to HSS (Herbert) a letter that HSS kept in Boudoir safe. Marion’s disappearance fighting for the cause. He didn’t forgive HSS.
- Synka company: 445 West Barbaron Ave, K. Thompson, Dept. 504 (⇒ he sent us a package with compass, gems, keys)
- Christoph - chauffeur/driver RED ink. Denny is mentioned in note about delivery in the car (garage).
- Marion Marigold - children’s book author, “Swim Bird”, “Red Prince”, “A New Clue”. Real name Mary Matthew Jones, niece of HSS = our mother. Disappeared around 21 Feb 1987 (6 years ago) on a Friday at 3:45 after lunch at Hundred Bells Tea Room in Trinsdale. Disappeared, same as the carriage driver. Mary wears a swan necklace. Did she actually disappear or did she change her name (from public record)? She was doing something for a (political?) cause. Was she smuggled over the border to the south actually on 1 September, 7 months after her “public” disappearance?
- Caleb Manning - author, detained by red guard in relation to Trinsdale bombing in 1986. Was friend, mentor and confidant of Marion Marigold. Is The Red Prince about Caleb? Planned museum heist with Marion. Practiced in Mount Holly with HSS in on it. Probably Paul Withers as alter ego.
- Phllip White - publisher of author Caleb Manning, detained by red guard in relation to Trinsdale bombing in 1986
- Hartley Ruot…- butler, valet, Baron’s valet for 20 years, admin password in grotto: RuotH
- Robert Nogula - Groundskeeper, 1992, replacement of Denny.
- Orinda - statue in cloister,
- Rynna - angel, farmer angel
- Anne Babbage - house manager, admin password in grotto: BabbA. Author of all personnel notes.
- KL - stayed at the mansion and hunted with Lord Evanson (probably Nov 18 1987? ⇒ Evanson took out a book from the library then, Sightseers guide to reddington), played darts, stayed in guest bedroom.
- Randolph Moore - lab technician, doing turbine tests, admin password in Grotto: MoorR, set up estate terminals and network. Was in on the Red Guard thing and HSS trusted him with server access etc. He has been lead lab technician for Synka and has worked at Mount Holly for over a decade.
- Kimberley Thompson - works usually at Synka labs, former executive assistant to HSS. Trusted with full admin privileges, admin password: ThomK
- Mrs. Peterson - new elementary school principle
- Detective Bon Margle - Red Guard. Investigating censored books (probably related to Caleb Manning).
- Courtney - Marion’s (Mary’s) cousin. HSS = uncle or father??. Courtney’s father tried to figure out more about Marion’s disappearance as well, but wasn’t successful. Courtney spoke to a “mutual acquaintance” of “Uncle” and hers and now she thinks that Uncle smuggled Marion across the red border.
- Blackwater insurgents - group opposed to red guard, probably responsible for stealing the Ruby Crown. Also known as RLCF, the children of blackwater.
- Sinclair family: Holly in family crest
- Epsen family: Swan and two spades in family crest
- Kirk Darren - got email from Randolph Moore to stop recording surveillance on 10 Feb 1987
- Paul Withers (suspected Caleb Manning): got book Pump system manual out of library after Jean Ribbons (Marion) in 1987
