Backpacking porridge

Use instant oats if you just have access to hot water. Otherwise, normal oat flakes are fine. Bring separately or mix together:

  • Oat flakes - 50 g per person per portion
  • Dried or freeze-dried fruits: bananas, berries, apples, pineapple, mango, dates, cranberries etc.
  • Nuts: almonds, coconut shavings, walnuts, peanuts
  • Portioned nut butter
  • Cocoa powder
  • Chia seeds
  • Cinnamon
  • Dried milk powder
