Importing sequences from NCBI via API

  1. Go to https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/ (NCBI)
  2. Login to get an API key
  3. Access your account’s settings by clicking on your user name
  4. Click on create an API key (and copy it)  
  5. Use this code (or a better one) to retrieve sequences
