The whole on the right thigh.
I cut a piece of cotton fabric to the right size so it covers the hole and all of the thinned-out fabric around it, and pinned it to the back side of the whole (inside the leg).
I hand-stitched with a sewing thread around the outside of the piece of backing fabric.
With a water-dissolvable fabric marker and a ruler I made a grid of lines to be able to do the Sashiko stitching somewhat consistently.
Time for colour selection! Sunset theme…
